Another pretty complicated relationship. RTD is on its way to raise it’s bus fares. Mostly for the poor and disabled. Light Rail fees (for higher income peoples) will go down, but regular routes, transfers on buses within Denver are going up – see information on that here.
What I recently learned from a friend is the CH2MHILL (a global infrastructure company) was the contractor behind the bus fare increase proposal.
My big global question here is:
Why is CH2MHILL hired to develop the proposal that, if passed, will raise bus fares for the majority of lower income people in Denver?
Of course, they are a globally savvy company, with direct connections to the oil and gas industry.
Can anyone give me info?
